This Vera 2011 Vinho Verde is a very crisp dry and spritzy. It offers aromas of apple and pear and is refreshing on the plate with excellent acidity. and balance and a long finish. Serve chilled.
Vera 2011 Vinho Verde Rosé ($ 11) 87+
This rosé is a blend of 60% Vinhão and 40% Rabo de Anho. It has a dark rose color and aromas of plum, pomegranate, and dark cherry. It is crisp and dry on the palate with herbs and light citrus on the finish.
Vera 2011 Alvarinho ($ 18 ) 89+
This 100% Alvarinho is from a small rolling stone vineyard that runs along the south bank of theMinhoriver. The wine offers attractive aromas of tropical fruit with hints of persimmon, lychee and herbs. On the palate it is crisp, dry and mouth filling with medium acidity and a fresh long finish. A delicious wine.
A. Semedo 2010 Titno Bairrada ($ 18 ) 90
A blend of 50% Baga and 50% Touriga Nacional, this opaque ruby tinto offers a complex set of aromas of red and black fruit, leather, violets, and smoke. It is flavor full and fruit forward on the palate with a velvet mouth feel, firm tannins and a long finish. Exotic and delicious.
