Michael Flynn is currently Wine and Beverage Director at the Mansion on Turtle Creek.  He was formerly, wine director and sommelier for Kinkeads in Washington, DC, since its opening in 1993. Mr. Flynn has written numerous articles for major wine publications and has served as a consultant and correspondent for Vintrust, a wine cellarage and management company based in San Francisco.  In 1996, he became an active candidate for the Master Sommelier Diploma.  To date, Mr. Flynn has passed two out the final three papers towards that goal. Mr. Flynn has been nominated three times by the James Beard Foundation for outstanding wine service, a national award category with only five nominees nationwide annually.

Mike Potashnik is currently Publisher of the International Wine Review which he founded in September 2005. He has more than a quarter century of experience in wine tasting, writing and lecturing about wine and has extensively traveled and tasted in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Argentina, Chile and other wine regions. He has also served as chef apprentice in several Washington, DC restaurants. Mike lives in McLean Virginia when not traveling. Prior to publishing the International Wine Review, Mike founded the online Virginia Wine Guide and Virginia Wine and Food Society. He is also a biker and combines biking with wine tasting and writing—although not simultaneously.

Donald Winkler is an economist and former academician who has extensively traveled and tasted--especially in South America and the Iberian Peninsula--in the pursuit of knowledge about wine, winemaking, and wine markets. After many years of self-education, he has now dedicated himself full-time to researching and writing about wine from all parts of the globe, with special focus on wine markets. He lives most of the year in Washington, DC, but also spends time at his Cape Town residence, conveniently located near the vineyards of Constantia. He jointly publishes the International Wine Review and serves as its editor.

Jay Youmans entered the wine trade in 1978 while still attending Wake Forest University. From 1981-98 he held executive positions with Famous Brands, Montdomaine vineyards, Mims Distributing  and Southern Slopes International Wines. In 1998 he started Rock Creek Wine Merchants, a sales and marketing company, which he owns and manages today. He serves as a wine judge for: Starwine International Wine Competition, Atlantic Wine Competition, The Virginia Wine Guide, and the California State Fair. In 2004, Jay became the 21st American to pass the Master of Wine exam, winning the Vina Errazuriz award for the outstanding paper on the business of wine.  Jay Youmans was previously co-Publisher of the International Wine Review.
