Tedeschi’s Old World Style Selections: Napa Valley and Russian River Valley

These selections were crafted by the Tedeschi Family Winery located in Calistoga, Napa Valley.  The Tedeschi family originally emigrated from Italy to Providence, Rhode IsMen5land and ultimately settled in  Calistoga in 1919.   The current family estate was purchased by Eugene Tedeschi in the 1950s and at the time consisted mainly of fruit orchards.  In subsequent decades,   the family added different varieties of grapes to the estate and in 1991 Eugene’s son, Emil,  after a winemaking stint in Hawaii established this small family winery.  The winery is today run by  Emil (left) who serves as Vintner & Winery Owner and his two sons, Emilio who serves as General Manager, and Mario who serves as Winemaker.

The Tedeschi Family produces less than 900 cases annually of single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,  Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Semillon It is dedicated  to producing age worthy old-world style wines sourced from the Tedeschi Vineyard and other vineyard sources such as the De La Montanya ’s Russian River Valley for its Pinot Noir. The wines reviewed here are produced in very small quantities and readers interested in purchasing them should contact the winery.  Tel.  707-501-0668
