Robert Mondavi Winery 2011 Fumé Blanc Reserve Napa Valley ($40) 92
The 2011 Fume Blanc offers lovely aromas of citrus (grapefruit) and white flowers with a hint of minerals and herbs. Barrel fermented and aged on the lees and hand stirred for 10 months, it is rich and creamy on the palate with intense flavors and a persistent finish. A small amount of Sémillon is added for elegance and richness.

Robert Mondavi Winery 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley ($125) 94+
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a wine of great beauty and power. Darky ruby in color it boasts blackcurrants and cassis fruit with notes of chocolate and toast. It is silky smooth on the palate with precise balance and intensity of flavor. Still quite young at this stage of development, the tannins are firm and in need of three to five years of bottle aging for maximum enjoyment. A sumptuous and elegant wine.
